What I did
- Migrated the API consumed by the React Native trivia/learning app from WordPress to Node.js and Firebase — covering questions, categories, users, authentication, and game logic while preserving the existing mobile app contract.
- Shipped a custom Next.js admin dashboard to replace WordPress-based content workflows.
- Worked in a two-developer team, sharing backend, frontend, and integration responsibilities throughout the migration.
Outcome
The mobile app moved onto a modern API while keeping compatibility with the existing React Native client, and the content team received a custom Next.js admin dashboard to replace WordPress workflows.
